Congratulations on the successful public kickoff of the Forward Habersham Campaign to Habersham Partnership for Growth Chair and Forward Habersham Partnership for Growth Campaign Co-chair Brian Horton (Ameris Bank); his fellow Campaign Co-Chairs Wade Rhodes (Norton Mountain Properties), and John Borrow (McDonald’s); and Habersham Partnership for Growth Executive Director Tim Lee! As announced to 130+ business and community leaders at the public kickoff event, hosted by North Georgia Technical College last Wednesday, the private-public partnership has already raised $1,040,000 (52%) towards the $2M campaign stretch goal during the “quiet phase.” We’re in the home stretch!

Attendees had an opportunity to learn about the Partnership’s five-year economic development private-public- initiative; which will foster inclusive job-creating investment in the County.

In addition to remarks from Lee and Horton, Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture Gary Ward Black, Sr., the Deputy Commissioner, Rural Georgia Initiatives of the Georgia Department of Economic Development Amy Carter, and Senior Advisor of Economic Development Charles Gatlin also spoke at the Kickoff about the importance of public-private partnerships in job creation and workforce development.

Development Director Kevin Donovan and the rest of our team at POWER 10 are pleased to have worked with the aforementioned and other key Habersham County leaders, and we look forward to a successful conclusion to the campaign in the coming months!
